A comp card is still the standard calling card for models submitting to agencies and casting directors. We shoot and deliver images in the specific formats comp cards require — a clean hero shot for the front and a curated range of looks for the back. All images come in full resolution with dimensions suitable for 5×7" print.

Model Portfolio Questions
What should I bring to a model portfolio shoot?
Bring a range of outfits that cover the looks you want in your book — typically commercial (clean, approachable, brand-friendly) and editorial (fashion-forward, expressive, creative). Three to five options minimum. Avoid heavy logos, busy patterns, or anything that dates the image quickly. Have hair and makeup done before you arrive — it makes a measurable difference in the final images. If you're building your first portfolio, reach out before the session and we'll go over the specific looks most agencies in the Boston area currently want to see.
What is a comp card and can you produce one?
A comp card (or zed card) is the standard leave-behind for models — typically a 5×7" card with your best photo on the front and a selection of looks plus your stats (height, measurements, eye color, hair color) on the back. We can provide the edited images in the correct dimensions and aspect ratios for comp card printing. We recommend printing through a professional print lab; we're happy to recommend one.
How many looks can I get in one session?
The Bronze (45 min, 1 outfit) is designed for a single focused look. The Silver (1 hr, 2 outfits) gives you two distinct looks — ideal for a comp card or portfolio update. The Gold (1.5 hrs, 3 outfits) covers commercial, fashion, and a specialty look. The Platinum (2 hrs, 4 outfits) is the full portfolio build — commercial through editorial, multiple backdrops, full range of looks.
Are the images formatted for agency submission?
Yes. All images are delivered as full-resolution JPEGs suitable for agency submission portals, online casting platforms (Casting Networks, Actors Access, Model Mayhem), and print comp cards. If you need specific dimensions or file specifications required by a particular agency, let us know before the session.
Do I need experience as a model to book a session?
No. Many of our clients are building their first portfolio — it's genuinely what a first session is for. We'll walk you through posing, expressions, and direction throughout the shoot. The goal of the session is to get usable images that represent you well, not to assume you already know how to work in front of a camera.
Can the images be used for commercial projects?
Yes. Every package includes a commercial use license. You can use the images for agency submissions, casting portals, social media, personal websites, press kits, brand partnerships, and print comp cards — no additional licensing fees.

Our studio is at 83 E Water St, Rockland, MA 02370 — about 25 minutes south of Boston on Route 3. Free on-site parking. We serve models and aspiring models from across Boston, the South Shore, and Greater Massachusetts including Hingham, Scituate, Duxbury, Norwell, Marshfield, and Cohasset.
