Studio Sessions for Every Purpose

These sessions go beyond a single portrait — they're designed to build a library of images across looks, concepts, and contexts. If your idea isn't listed, reach out and we'll build something custom. Need a model portfolio specifically? See our dedicated model portfolio page. Need just a headshot? That's a separate service. According to Content Marketing Institute, original photography outperforms stock imagery in engagement by a significant margin — making a professional studio session one of the highest-ROI content investments for creators and brands.

Model Portfolio

First book or a complete update? We shoot the full range — commercial, editorial, fashion, and character looks. Images formatted for agency submission, online casting platforms, and comp cards.

Personal Branding

A headshot is one image. A branding session is a content library. We capture your workspace, your tools, your personality in motion — the kind of imagery that fills a website, a press kit, and three months of social media.

Content Creator & Influencer

Batch your content in a single session. Flat lays, lifestyle setups, brand partnership deliverables, and on-camera stills — all shot against studio backdrops with professional lighting you can't replicate on a ring light.

Glamour & Beauty

Dramatic lighting, studio backdrops, and retouching for striking beauty portraits. Perfect for a gift, a milestone, or simply because you want great photos of yourself.

Musicians & Creatives

Press photos, album art, and promotional imagery that reflects your artistic identity — not a generic photo studio look.

Custom Concept

Have a specific vision? We build custom sessions around your concept, mood board, and creative direction. Studio props and equipment fully available.

Studio Photography Questions

What backdrops and equipment are available in the studio?

The studio is fully equipped with professional strobe lighting, continuous light options, and multiple backdrop colors including seamless white, black, gray, and textured options. Studio props and furniture are available for creative and branding sessions. If you have a specific setup in mind, reach out before your session and we'll confirm what's available.

How is a studio session different from a headshot session?

A headshot session is focused on one thing: a strong, submission-ready portrait of your face — for LinkedIn, a corporate bio, or casting. A studio session is broader. We're building a collection of images across looks, concepts, and contexts — whether that's a model portfolio covering commercial and editorial ranges, a personal branding shoot capturing your workspace and personality, or a glamour or music press shoot with full creative direction. If you need professional headshots specifically, see our Boston headshots page at photographyshark.com/investment/boston-headshots/. If you need more than a headshot, a studio session is the right fit.

How should I prepare for a studio photo shoot?

Bring multiple outfit options — typically 3 to 5 — that represent the range of looks you want to capture. For model portfolios, think commercial versus editorial. For branding sessions, think about the visual identity you want to project: what do your brand colors, tone, and audience look like? For glamour or music shoots, bring references or a mood board. Avoid heavy patterns and large logos unless they're part of your brand. Hair and makeup done before the session makes a significant difference in the final images. We'll go over your goals at the start of the session before we begin shooting.

How long does it take to receive the final images?

Fully retouched images are delivered via a password-protected online gallery within 7–10 business days. Rush delivery within 48 hours is available for an additional fee — contact us when booking if you need expedited turnaround.

Can I use the studio photos for commercial projects?

Yes. All studio session packages include a commercial use license. You can use the images for websites, social media, advertising, press kits, agency submissions, and any other commercial purpose. There are no additional licensing fees.

What Clients Say

I booked the extended studio session for my personal branding shoot and walked away with images I've been using across my website, LinkedIn, and Instagram for over a year. Chris understood the vision immediately and gave direction the whole way through.

Michelle Torres

Best studio experience I've had. Chris was patient, gave great direction, and the final images were exactly what I needed for my acting portfolio. The lighting and editing are top tier. Worth every penny.

David Kim

Chris photographed my music press shoot and nailed the vibe I was going for. He had creative suggestions I hadn't even considered. The final images look like they belong in a magazine.
