Fully Private. Fully Equipped. South Shore.

There is no shortage of photographers on the South Shore who will take you to a beach at golden hour. Boudoir photography is different. It requires a private, controlled environment — a studio where the light is intentional, the space is enclosed, and no one else walks in. Photography Shark in Rockland is exactly that.

The studio is inside a converted mill building at 83 E Water St — private entrance, free parking, no shared lobby or waiting room. Sessions are one-on-one with Chris McCarthy. No assistants, no second shooters, no staff. Clients from Hingham, Scituate, Quincy, Weymouth, Plymouth, and surrounding South Shore towns make the 15–30 minute drive specifically because there is no comparable private studio closer.

The finished images are delivered to a private online gallery within 3–5 business days. All images are retouched. You choose which ones to keep and which to print. Nothing is used for portfolio or marketing without your explicit written permission.

South Shore Boudoir Photography Styles

Classic Boudoir

Timeless, elegant lighting. Clean backdrops, draped fabrics, and controlled studio light that flatters without being harsh.

Glamour & Pin-Up

More editorial. Bold color, stronger contrast, deliberate styling. Works well for clients who want something with personality and flair.

Fine Art Boudoir

Artistic, often black and white, focused on form and light rather than wardrobe. The most tasteful end of the spectrum.

Empowerment Session

For clients at a milestone moment — a birthday, a major life change, a personal achievement. No specific wardrobe required.

Your Images Stay Yours

No image from a boudoir session is ever used for portfolio, social media, or marketing without explicit written permission. Your gallery is private and password-protected. The session is between you and the photographer — no exceptions.
